A journey through art, imagination, and the unseen.

“I have never believed that creativity should be confined to one medium, any more than consciousness should be confined to one way of understanding.”

I was a different kind of child. Bright, curious, and imaginative, I struggled academically in ways that seemed to contradict my intelligence. It wasn’t until just after high school that I was diagnosed with severe dyslexia, revealing extraordinary discrepancies between my abilities and academic performance. Long before I understood why I felt different, art had become my refuge, my language, and a place where I could discover and strengthen my sense of self.

As a third-generation artist, creativity was woven into my life from the beginning. It naturally led me to ArtCenter College of Design, where I first encountered encaustic, an ancient painting technique using molten beeswax, resin, and pigment, applied in layers and fused with heat. Its luminous depth and transformative possibilities fascinated me. Although my path would take other directions before I could fully explore it, the medium never left my imagination.

My fascination with the human experience eventually led me to master’s degrees in Clinical Art Therapy and Marriage and Family Counseling. I came to understand something art had taught me as a child: that images can express what words cannot always reach. Years later, returning to encaustic brought these worlds together.

Today, my creative expression moves through encaustic, oil painting, watercolor, bespoke knitting, and whatever medium best serves the inspiration. When I create, I enter a meditative space, allowing intuition, spirit, and energy to guide the process. Each layer becomes part of an unfolding dialogue between the visible and the unseen.

My deepest hope is that someone standing before one of my pieces might also experience an inward journey, entering a place of peace and silence where their own wisdom, clarity, and direction can emerge. This exploration of consciousness and personal transformation also lives at the heart of my work with SoulScape Alchemist.

That same journey inspired my book, The Myth of Beliefs. Writing it was another profound personal hurdle, particularly for someone whose relationship with written language had been shaped by dyslexia. I also created the book’s artwork with AI assistance, a medium that challenges traditional ideas of artistic creation. I believe the artist’s creative touch is not defined solely by the tools used, but by the vision, intention, imagination, and choices brought to the process.

I have never believed that creativity should be confined to one medium, any more than consciousness should be confined to one way of understanding.

Ultimately, whether through art, words, or the exploration of consciousness, my intention remains the same: to inspire the inward journey. I believe that as each of us discovers peace within ourselves, our collective world can begin to breathe again, allowing the promise of the Age of Aquarius to bloom.
